PHANTEKS METALLIC GEAR NEO QUBE WHITE FULL
There's a giant thread full of this over on the forums :) Still, if you're into that sort of thing there are dozens of more affordable options (both copies of more established designs and a lot of original designs) in the 4-15l range on TaoBao - you just have to go through an agent like Superbuy and live with the delays and lead times of small-scale manufacturing. Still, tooling even for a small mass-produced case can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to manufacture. There's also the issue of lack of economics of scale in the SFF space - due to compatibility issues and the sheer number of different layouts possible it's really hard to reach sufficient sales volumes to make cases cheaper - though hopefully we'll see developments of cases like the InWin A1 or Corsair QBX moving to SFX PSUs in the near future for some more space savings. I'd be interested in seeing someone launch a £70-£80 budget option (regardless of build quality, as long as its built to last)."Regardless of build quality, as long as it's built to last" is a rather contradictory statement.Īlso, sandwich-layout cases aren't becoming that cheap any time soon simply due to the requirement for a quality PCIe riser cable, which is easily a $30 cost to the manufacturer - which will obviously become higher than that when passed on to the end user. WheresmycarSame applies to 7L+ SFX cases (eg.

So I know the colour effect is possible (I'm using it now), but I don't know how to get my fans or other ARGB items to connect to the front (rather than plugged into the MB as they are now) so that I can use it. It's like a dark blue/cyan/purple rainbow gradient that continuously moves through those 3 colours. My guess is that the 'effect' is a photoshopped 'still' of the moving effect I have going at the moment on the front of the case.As far as I remember, the case just has the DRGB strip in the front and it can run on with just SATA power, however there is a cable should you want to control it via MB (but then you lose the pre-set effects and the ability to control it via the front I/O). My case fans/Lian Li's are hooked up to the MB ARGB headers, but they aren't tied in to the front of the case (if they can be, I don't know how to do that).

I assumed the RAM/GPU/Cooler couldn't be synced as they are using RAM/PCI slots or are directly connected to a MB fan header (cooler rad fans), so these may need to be customised with software, but I don't know of any software that will do it.

How does one achieve this with this case?! Not possible? Do I have to buy a Phanteks DRGB hub or something? I've tried Google and Phanteks website and trying to learn more about RGB/ARGB/DRGB in general, but I'm completely stuck and very new at this.Īny help/advice would be much appreciated! I just want my system to cycle through the 3 tone colour combo, similar to the look on the Metallicgear promo images - where not only are the front panel and fans running what seem to be the same colour combo, the MB/RAM seem to have it as well. To top it off, Mystic Light does not allow you to set custom multi-colours - you can choose a single colour that you can then apply an effect to or have static, but you can't have more than one colour unless you select the standard 'rainbow' option. I have the front strip set to a really nice colour combination using the built-in functions from the mode button on the front and I'd like the rest of the system to reflect that, however as my fans, Lian Li Strimer(s) and then obviously NZXT Cooler/RAM/GPU are all plugged into the MB, I can't get them all on the same lighting effect. I have a new system build in a Metallicgear Neo Qube and I'm wondering how in the world to hook the lighting up so that everything runs off/matches the front panel light strip? Is that even possible?
